Artwork by some of the most renowned children's book illustrators is displayed at the National Center for Children's Illustrated Literature, including an illustrated "Alice in Wonderland" by Salvador Dali, many drawings by Deborah Norse Lattimore, and pieces by William Joyce. It is located in Abilene, a mile west of Stevenson Park, which has a playground, picnic area and swimming pool ideal for families. Every Saturday afternoon, the museum hosts "Family Fun Saturdays," featuring art activities for parents and children.
